On September 11, the Opole Science and Technology Park will host a meeting with Esther Wojcicki, an influential figure in American innovation and education.

At the invitation of SFD S.A., Esther Wojcicki, a mentor to technology leaders and bestselling author, will visit Opole. Widely being known as the “Godmother of Silicon Valley”, her nickname stems both from her own achievements in education and from her family history. She raised three highly successful daughters recognized globally: Susan, the longtime CEO of YouTube; Anne, co-founder of 23andMe; and Janet, a professor and researcher of pediatrics. It was also in the garage of her daughter’s home that Larry Page and Sergey Brin set up Google’s first office.

Today, she is known by businesses around the world for her experience in building modern teams and finding talent, having taught journalism in Palo Alto for over four decades and today still continuing to mentor leaders. Her visit to Opole will act as an opportunity to discuss whether and how global leadership standards can be applied to dynamically growing Polish digital companies.

The main part of her visit will be an open film screening and a discussion on innovation and management culture. The meeting will take place in the atrium of the Opole Science and Technology Park. The film was created by Dr. Maciej Kawecki and Łukasz Bernaś and produced by This is It and This is World. Following the screening, Esther Wojcicki will give a presentation and take part in a Q&A session. Admission is free, but seats are limited, so advance registration is required. The registration form is available here: [LINK].
