On December 13–14, 2024, the Faculty of Political Science and Social Communication of the University of Opole was the organizer of the tenth anniversary celebration of the Europa Master initiative. This scheme, unique on a European scale, joins together three partner universities: the University of Opole (in Poland), Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz (of Germany), and the (France-based) University of Burgundy in Dijon. Its graduates acquire prestigious master’s degrees from all three partner universities.
The forward thinking project is recognized as a “Weimar study framework”, allowing students to complete each semester in a different country. The curriculum is presented in both English and French.
During the two-day event, there were discussion panels and the tenth Diploma Ceremony, which then formally concluded the anniversary edition of the course.

• December 13 – Open thematic sessions:
• “Eastern Widening – Political, Social, and Cultural Clash in Europe. 20 Years Later” featuring lecturers and graduates of the course.
• Speech by Didier Herbert (from the College of Europe, the European Commission’s former director).
• Discussion panels and shared memories from program alumni.
• December 14 – Diploma Ceremony – formal conclusion of the tenth edition of the Europa Master studies.
The event attracted numerous guests – lecturers, students, and graduates – who shared their experiences and reflections on the program’s impact on all of their professional and personal lives.
Europa Master is an example of great international cooperation, enabling young people from all over Europe to gain knowledge in an international environment and develop their competencies for the European job market.
