One Way or Another with Blondie by Dr Sławomir Kuźnicki

Come and see “wall to wall, people hypnotized” – a presentation on Blondie will take you on a trip through the history of the iconic band.

The charismatic group, fronted by Deborah Harry and Chris Stein, was created in 1974 and stood at the forefront of various musical trends, with their new wave aesthetics influenced by genred like pop, dance rock, reggae, disco, and even early hip-hop. Thanks to their diverse musical catalogue, they have sold over 40 million records worldwide, reached the number one spot in many countries with various widely recongizable singles. and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

Dr Sławomir Kuźnicki is an author, literary critic, translator, and lecturer at the University of Opole. His scholarly work focuses on the intersections of literature and music, particularly rock culture and its broader cultural contexts. Throughout his career, he has published monographs on dystopian fiction and literary perspectives on rock music.
