Piastonalia 2026: A Retrospective

Six days full of entertainment, also known as Piastonalia 2026, have now settled into our memories. Let us revisit some of those memories from the fun events.

Starting on May 17 (Sunday) and running until May 23 (Saturday), this celebration of student life in was a full-force party. On Monday, students dressed in funny costumes received the keys to the city and officially took over the area, walking across the city streets, to then party together to the rhythm of music.

The celebrations then moved to the Technical University of Opole, where students enjoyed numerous attractions and concerts. The wide open space of the University Meadow got filled up with various generations of locals coming together to party. Additional events included outdoor cinema (on Sunday) and a speed dating meeting.

On Thursday, the celebrations moved onto the University of Opole section, starting with the POP YARD, a newly opened tennis and padel court complex. Then, the main shows took place on the grounds of the campus. The lineup included various currently popular performers and also nostalgic artists, attracting large crowds throughout the weekend.

The festivities also brought in many sponsors. Drosed’s Pasztet Podlaski handed out free samples of its products and promotional gadgets, while the German retail chain DM Drogerie Markt provided students with festive makeup and free samples for those taking photos in its colorful tent. Additional attractions throughout the week included a EA Sports FC 26 gaming contest and a tongue-in-cheek race featuring DIY vehicles.

We would like to thank Radio Sygnały and the Student Council of the University of Opole for the ability to collect the photo materials, as well as the organizers of each event for the amazing memories. We hope to return next year for more.
