The 13th edition of the Opolcon Fantasy Festival, one of Poland’s largest free nationwide conventions, is right the right around the corner. Join in on the fun from September 11th to 13th!
The weekend-long event will welcome guests to a world full of tournaments, competitions, creative workshops, author meetings (prior international guests have included Graham Masterton and Matthew J. Rainwater), as well as Polish-language presentations. Board games and retro consoles will also be waiting for the guests, as well as vendors offering various merchandise and handmade products. A scheduled walk through the city will also take place. The popular Cosplay Contest, during which participants will showcase their costumes and handmade creations on stage, will highlight the regular Saturday schedule.
Meanwhile, on the first two days, another part of the celebration will also be taking place at Solaris Center in Opole, where for the first time ever the shopping centre will become a spot for festival-related entertainment, including new activities prepared by us, with our website becoming a media patron of the event this year. This new location will make the convention more available to both Polish- and English-speaking visitors.
The event organized by the Phoenix Opole Fantasy Club since 2014, will as per usual take place at the Complex of Electrical Schools and the Complex of Economic Schools on Kościuszki Street, at Public General Secondary School No. 6 on Ozimska Street, as well as Solaris Center on Kopernika Street and all around Opole. The Facebook event listing is available here: [LINK].
We are very thankful to the team for these possibilities and are looking forward to working together on this incredible opportunity. We hope to see you there!
