Where Language Meets Community: Opole English Night

Would you like to practice your spoken English, meet a lot of new friends, and have a memorable time? The well-established series of socio-cultural monthly events Opole English Night is just for you! Held at the Pod Arkadami café in the heart of our region’s biggest city, it offers a one of a kind opportunity to improve your language skills, no matter your level, while making new (and often surprising) connections without borders.

“This initiative responds to the growing need among our area’s residents for a space to practically improve their English language skills and integrate with the city’s international community, which contributes to building Opole’s image as a place that is open and welcoming to cultural diversity”, tells us Angélique Toque, an international marketer with an entrepreneurial spirit and the originator of this concept. Her own experiences of stepping out of her comfort zone and exploring the world inspired her to create this initiative, alongside the Polish-language Opole Speed Dates idea, which has been equally successful.

To learn more, visit its Facebook page, where you can check out photos that serve as real evidence of all the memories made at each gathering. We also invite you to join the “Opole Speaks English” group on the same platform, which we are part of as well. Hopefully soon we can see you all there, order some drinks, soak in the atmosphere, get to know each other, and dive into interesting conversations! The next (Saint Patrick’s Day) edition will be held on March 13th 2025, at 19:00.
